Sanding:

The bottom of the freshwater mussel tank needs to be covered with a layer of clean sea sand at least 3-4 inches high. There is no special requirement for the sea sand layer of saltwater mussels , and a small amount is also fine.

Water injection:

The water level must be above the air hole of the pump. Freshwater clam tanks must be filled with filtered fresh water from the tap.
The seawater clam tank must be filled with salt water from the toilet, and the salt water from the toilet must settle for 6 hours or more before it can be used.
If some of the salt water evaporates, just add filtered fresh water from the tap.

Water change:

For saltwater shellfish or freshwater clams , change the water once a week, changing one-third of the water each time.

Feed once in the morning and once in the evening :

Mix one teaspoon of feed with half a cup of water and add to the tank. Turn off the water filter within 3 hours of feeding to prevent food from being filtered away.
