Pearl Workshop at the Saikung Sea［English］

Do you know that the "Pearl Oyster Shucking" activities were held in various shopping malls in Hong Kong back in the 1990s? All you had to do was spend at the mall and show your receipt to shuck an oyster of your choice and try your luck. If you wanted to take it a step further, you could pay an additional fee to turn the pearl into an exquisite accessory. This activity not only filled Hong Kongers with childhood memories but also promoted the development of the pearl farming industry in Hong Kong.

We are delighted to witness many pearl farmers and related individuals receiving support from various funds, including the Innovation and Technology Commission, the Create Hong Kong (formerly known as Create Hong Kong), the Airport Authority, the Environmental Protection Department, the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department, and the Education Bureau. These initiatives have injected new vitality into Hong Kong's pearl industry.

Since December 31, 2013, we have resumed pearl farming in Hong Kong.  After years of effort, we are promoting the development of the pearl farming industry and outdoor workshops. Over the past decade, we have closely monitored global trends, gathered the latest information, and integrated this knowledge into the core content of our workshops, making learning more relevant to today's world.

In this 2.5-hour workshop, our instructors will guide you to explore the mysteries of pearls, understand the formation process of pearls, and their close relationship with the ocean. This will be a wonderful journey that allows you to rediscover the unique charm of the "Pearl of the East." 🌊🐚✨

Duration：2.5 hours, including round-trip ferry ride

Facility Overview：The workshop is located at the famous leisure fishing raft in Ma Nam Wat, Sai Kung. It can accommodate up to 40 participants per session. The raft has restroom and dining facilities and is open 24 hours (prices negotiable).

Recommendations：The event is suitable for individuals with full mobility from different backgrounds. The workshop can be transformed into a marine science activity or a corporate team-building event.
