history
The Pearl Farm is a pearl specialty store in Hong Kong established in 1995. It mainly sells seawater cultured pearl jewelry. The pearls of our company are mainly sourced from Australia, French Polynesia, Indonesia, the Philippines and Japan. Our pearls are mainly obtained directly from pearl farmers, so both the price and the source are guaranteed. The company currently has a store in Cheung Chau, and the exhibition center and workshop in Shatin will focus on promoting pearl experience.
Since the late 1990s, The Pearl Farm has started to develop cultured pearls in Xunliao Town, Guangdong Province, China. After years of learning and practice, the cultured pearls have been sold to brands all over the world. At its peak, about 1 million pearls were cultured. Due to the pollution caused by the rapid development of the local area, the pearl production is much lower than before. Now it continues to cultivate thousands of pearls as one of the local special environmental protection tourist attractions.
Now
Mr. Wang Junjie, Project Director of The Pearl Farm's parent company, Fukui Nucleus, announced a revolutionary innovation technology - Metakaku© to the world at the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show in mid-2013. This technology combines the efforts of two generations, more than ten years of research and testing, and understanding of the global pearl farming industry. Metakaku© is a pearl nucleus that uses radio frequency identification technology, which allows each pearl to have an independent ID card. Combined with modern information technology, each pearl can be traced back to its source. This technology has been patented and has received various awards overseas.
On April 28, 2014, The Pearl Farm successfully started pearl farming in Hong Kong again and harvested in mid-February of the following year. This success also means that Hong Kong's water quality has improved to be suitable for farming Hong Kong pearls. These pearls have also been designed and made into 100% Hong Kong pearl jewelry in collaboration with local designers.
Experience
The Pearl Farm hopes to use the most direct method to let more people understand pearls. In the name of environmental tourism, she hopes to explain the entire pearl farming process so that everyone can understand the issue of pearls and environmental conservation. On the other hand, she also hopes to let everyone experience the unknown secrets of pearls through personal experience. Whether it is the beauty of pearls or the connection with nature, The Pearl Farm hopes that everyone will understand that pearls are not just a treasure from the clams in the sea, but a thing created by nature with a story that is related to everyone.
